WHO CAN DRIVE THE 6 BERTH MOTORHOME?
Our Insurance is with Alan Boswell. All drivers must be between the ages of 25 and 70. All drivers must have held a full licence for a minimum of 2 years, with a maximum of 6 penalty points. If you have more than 6 penalty points , this is not necessarily a problem but may just increase your insurance excess.

CAN I DRIVE IT ON A STANDARD CAR LICENCE?
Yes. The Ford Roller Team motorhome is under 3500kg and can be driven by anyone with a full UK driving licence which includes category B.

ARE PETS ALLOWED?
Yes..... only well behaved ones please !!

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME ON THE DAY OF HIRE?
Our motorhome comes equipped with everything you need for the perfect trip...However currently we advise that you bring along your own bedsheets, pillows & towels. If you prefer we can provide both bedding and towel packs. Please request details of our optional extras. If in doubt on any other items you may need , please just ask and we'll be happy to advise.

CAN I LEAVE MY VEHICLE WITH YOU ?
​
No problem at all, we have free, secure on-site parking.
​
WHEN CAN I COLLECT MY MOTORHOME OR CAMPERVAN ?
​
Our normal collection time is 1500hrs, however we will try to be flexible wherever possible to accommodate your needs. This may not always be possible if we have back to back rentals.

WHEN DO I NEED TO RETURN THE MOTORHOME OR CAMPERVAN ?
​
Your motorhome must be returned by the time detailed on your hire agreement, in most cases this is usually 1100 hrs. This is particularly important as your insurance cover is only valid for the time specified on your agreement.

HOW LONG CAN I HIRE THE MOTORHOME OR CAMPER FOR ?
​
You can hire both the motorhome or campervan for as long as you like – if you are thinking of hiring one for more than two weeks, discounts are available.
In July and August we have a minimum hire period of 7 days.

WILL I BE SHOWN HOW EVERYTHING WORKS IN THE MOTORHOME ?

Yes a full handover is all part of your hire. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions however this may be limited to only 2 persons at any one time inside.

HOW LONG SHOULD I ALLOW FOR COLLECTING AND RETURNING THE MOTORHOME OR CAMPERVAN ?

This process can take anything between 45 mins - 1 hour in order to complete necessary paperwork, run through our handover and checking vehicle over for any possible damage.

WHAT IS THE SPEED LIMIT FOR THE MOTORHOME ?
​
n the UK, the speed limits for motorhomes are not the same as cars. 70 mph is the maximum on motorways but on dual carriageways the maximum is restricted to 60 mph and to 50 mph on single carriageways, unless there are signs which display lower or specific speed restrictions.

CAN I SMOKE IN THE MOTORHOME OR CAMPERVAN ?

Sorry but we have a strict no smoking policy in all of our vehicles.

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WHILST AWAY ?
All our vehicles are covered by comprehensive breakdown cover. We will provide you with all the necessary emergency contact numbers in the event of a breakdown and we are only at the end of the phone if you have any technical issues. A full instruction manual is provided with the vehicle to assist you with any minor problems that may arise.
CAN I TAKE THE VEHICLE OUT OF THE UK ?

Both our motorhome and campervan have European Insurance and breakdown cover, additional charges may apply for this, full details on request.

AM I LIMITED TO THE NUMBER OF MILES I CAN COVER DURING MY TRIP ?
​
Mileage is limited to 1000 miles per 7 day hire. Shorter hire periods are calculated on this basis. If you are looking at a longer European trip for example, we are happy to look at this for you and agree a suitable package to cover your trip.
